Update: November 2010

Dr. Jakkie Cilliers, the head of the Institute for Security Studies, visited the Korbel School and the Pardee Center for International Futures to promote the African Futures Project (AFP). The AFP is a collaboration between the Pardee Center and the Institute for Security Studies to promote long-term, systematic thinking about policy decisions across the African continent that promote sustainability and human capacity development. The project intends to combine regional experts with quantitative modelers to provide a "backbone" of policy analysis for key governments and institutions on the continent. Two representatives of the Pardee Center will travel to Cape Town for a training at the beginning of December, 2010.
