Eli graduated from the Korbel School with an M.A. in International Studies in 2011. He joined the IFs team in September of 2009. His primary area of interest is the implications of future climate change and environmental degradation for state stability and conflict around the world. At the Pardee Center, he is currently helping with the research for and writing of the 4th volume of the Patterns of Potential Human Progress series, which focuses on Infrastructure. He has also been involved with developing a database of infrastructure spending.

His studies centered on developing the linkages between environmental change and conflict.
